Buses....ugh

today is the day after christmas and we're heading to Washington D.C. and then renting a car from there to drive down to Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. ROAD TRIP! sounds like fun right? um no. the bus took 5 or so hours to get to D.C. then it was pouring in D.C. and we didn't really know our way around. Then driving down to Virginia was only supposed to take about 4 hours. But it took more like 8 because of the rain and horrible traffic. I thought LA traffic was bad...but this was like bumper to bumper for miles. Once we finally arrived we checked in at a hotel and finally got to rest. Tomorrow we explore colonial williamsburg.

the bumper to bumper traffic inspired me to write my short story. too bad i ended up writing a whole new one when i got back to new york. lol

we had dinner at Country Buffet. it's like our version of Hometown Buffet. soo many choices! and yeah i forgot to take pics. sry

This is going to be a really short post cuz i forgot to take pictures...oops.

It was a pretty chill day. I worked on apps cuz i had to finish them before we hit the road for Virginia and DC and stuff. Then my sister and kelvin cooked steak, pasta and other chinese food for us. It was really good. After that we had some cake. Minor problem. They don't know what kind of cake it was. Haha when they bought it the owner wasn't there and the person selling it had no idea what kind of cake it was. I know...sounds safe right? anyways...it turned out to taste like flan. it was pretty good. Then we watched movies and tv for the rest of the night.

December 24 - Christmas Eve

still havent been shopping. so upsetting. oh well...i'm eating like 5 meals a day. The food is AMAZING. i wish LA had these restaurants too. i worked on apps in the morning...bleh. but then we went to Central Park for lunch. it was a beautiful day! =)

1. yay we finally made it to the Central Park Boathouse where we had reservations for lunch! It's in the middle of central park which means like a 20 minute walk to get to it. whew

we had dinner with my uncle? great uncle? (asian family trees are confusing) anyways, we went to Flushing, NY (which is in queens? i think). good seafood. the table next to us was eating snails. ughhh gross. then we went to buy fish balls cuz my dad loves them. they're really yummy.

1. ok i lied. apparently i'm not fookinese, but rather fujianese. there, i have proof. haha

tomorrow is christmas!!! yay! can't wait. my sister doesnt have a christmas tree in her apartment whcih is weird cuz my house always has a huge one. i wonder what we're doing tomorrow....

oh i forgot. gramercy tavern gave us these coffee cakes on our way out last night. good advertising i must say.

I'm so excited to be in the East Coast! i love how it takes on average 2 hours to get from nyc to another state, ie. conneticut. I hopped on a train from Grand Central to go to Westport, CT. It was only an hour long so not too bad. The train was cool cuz it's an antique. yeah i know...fun huh?

we went downtown for lunch and i got some yummy mushroom soup!

now how do i explain mis amigas? well...amanda chi is black. (sure) she eats pickled babies and hates fat people. hahah its complicated. but i love her! she comandeered my camera for the day and camera whored. so all these pics are of her. lovely, thanks. sam's half jewish. enough said. jk. we were suitemates back at cornell and oh we've shared good memories. *cough ari cough* she has a fishmas tree....its a tree with all fish ornaments. verrryyy cool. so yeah. thats sam and amanda. mariya is from brooklyn and has mastered every accent in the world. no joke. shes amazing. and james kim was too lame to hang out with us. jk. he was being a good little asian child and doing his apps. =)

after eating, we explored more of downtown westport. how do i describe it? its no Old Town, but it has a lot of cute stores and stuff. hmm the best part of westport is apparently their diner. we had dinner there after mariya arrived from nyc but i didnt get a chance to take a pic. use ur imagination....

then it was time for dinner at the diner. it was delic and the waitress....um yeah its cool to have lipstick all over ur teeth. haha. and apparently theres nothing to do in westport so the kids play at night. wohoo
